Veterans Remember was an oral history project that collected and documented the memories, thoughts, and experiences of U.S. military veterans who live in Mesa County. The project began with World War II veterans, and grew to include interviews with veterans of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

During the residency, she kept open studio hours at 970West from 10 am to Noon on Wednesdays, allowing her to showcase her art and creative process for Mesa County residents. As Mesa County Libraries 970West Studio Artist in Residence, Jessica Scriver created illustrations using an encaustic etching technique. The illustrations tell the story of a baby yak that is adopted by a new family and remembers her mother in the cycle of fiber production.
